Long Island Longboards Checklist: These features are important

• Riding style: A riding style should be chosen before purchasing. You can choose from the following:

  • Length: With a length of 80 cm – 110 cm, you can’t go wrong. This size offers enough standing space and stability for every type of rider. It is important to know that longer decks weigh more and are somewhat heavier to transport. Shorter boards often lack a bit of traction.

    Note: Many Long Island boards have a length between 90 cm – 110 cm. Some of the models under 90 cm are suitable for children.

  • Width: A width of at least 20 cm is ideal for adults. This gives the driver enough space to stand comfortably and safely. If the deck were narrower, stability and steering would suffer.
