Drysuits are in themselves quite robust items of clothing, but there are a few rules that need to be observed when caring for them. If you follow these tips, your dry suit is guaranteed to last a long time.

1. Washing (off) the dry suit

   After each use, especially after contact with salt water, the SUP dry suit is rinsed inside and out with fresh water. This is because the salt crystals attack the material and make it porous over time. The water also rinses dirt, sand and sweat out of the drysuit.

2. Allow to dry properly:

   Under no circumstances should the drysuit simply be left out in the sun. The drysuit must first be turned inside out and then hung up to dry in the shade, as UV radiation and heat also make the material porous in the long term. The drysuit is best stored folded up in a dark and cool place (10-25 °C).

3. Impregnate:

   This step only needs to be carried out occasionally, when the waterproofing of the SUP drysuit wears off. How do I know if this is the case? When water no longer rolls off the surface but is absorbed into the material, it is time to refresh the waterproofing. The impregnating agent is applied after cleaning, as specified in the instructions for use.
