Security
The Restube Lifeguard is designed to support lifeguards in their work. Instead, it can be strapped to other people who have cramps, are overexerted or have even fainted.
The 80 cm long buoy offers a buoyancy of 75 N, which corresponds to approx. 7.5 kilograms. This is a good way of keeping one adult afloat or providing some support for two. Thanks to the carabiners, the buoy is strapped around the person to be rescued like a life belt and does not slip off.
The bright yellow color of the buoy and the reflective strips on the side ensure greater visibility.
Material
The Restube Lifeguard consists of a buoy with CO2 cartridge, a bag, a belt with click fastener, a tow line and a release line.
The buoy, belt and line are made of robust nylon. The buoy has an additional TPU coating. The release handle and click lock are made of plastic.
Application
As soon as the buoy is released, the 80 cm long nylon pocket is filled by the CO2 cartridge and the life buoy is ready for use.
The buoy can be easily fastened around a person using the carabiners and keeps the upper body and thus the airways above water. The person involved in the accident can be towed away on the tow line. The floating buoy has a pull system and 2 kinks, allowing the buoy to be placed around the casualty. In this way, a person can be given a boost and support.
The buoy can also be passed to panic victims from a distance and thus also protect the rescuer from being pulled under water.
The life buoy is a particularly useful aid when two people need support. One person is helped with the buoy and the other is towed away.
Wearing comfort
The belt of the life buoy fits comfortably around the hips and can be adjusted to personal measurements. If the 120 × 3.8 cm belt is too short, there is a longer model available on the manufacturer’s website.
The bag lies horizontally or vertically on the belt. With a pack size of 16 × 10 × 7 cm and a weight of 490 g, the buoy can be felt, but does not interfere with swimming or diving.
Field of application
The Restube Lifeguard is suitable for lifeguards. The buoy can be attached to the casualty with a carabiner, making it a versatile rescue aid.
Thanks to its high buoyancy, the buoy can also be used in waves and wind. The buoy holds up to 7 kilograms above water, creating a safe buoyancy aid for an adult.
